Local 12 or Metro?

Have been going through the process with both Local 12 and Metro (completely different career paths, I know) Have my interview with Local 12 and my physical test with Metro next week. Which would be the better option long term? I’ve heard operators can be out of work a lot and policing in general doesn’t have the greatest rapport right now. Just looking for long term stability really, as I really like both career paths.
