My TEFL journey
Taking the TEFL course was a meaningful experience for me. At first, I thought it would mainly focus on grammar and vocabulary, but I learned that teaching involves much more than that. It requires patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.
I was surprised by how much lesson planning and classroom management are involved in teaching. There were times when I felt nervous and hesitant, especially during the tests and assessments, but I kept studying and practicing until I finally passed the course.
Passing made me feel relieved and proud of myself. It reminded me that effort and perseverance really do make a difference.
For anyone wondering, I got my certificate through TeacherRecord.com. I personally found the platform easy to navigate, especially when creating an account and taking the course. One thing I appreciated was that there was an option to retake the test if you didn’t pass on the first attempt.
Now that I’ve completed the course and received my certificate, I’m looking into opportunities where a TEFL certification may be useful.
