Halkenburg as Beyond's child theory

SpoilerAnalysis/Theory

Beyond's ambition is to go to the Dark Continent. It would make sense for him to choose a prince who would support his journey there. So, I don't think the younger prince would be Beyond's child, I don't see the urgency, i don't see the benefit, planting a young prince as his child, because Beyond's ambition is all about dark continent. I don't think he cares about anything about legacy or the future of Kakin empire.

Having Hulkenberg benefit Beyond the most here, Halkenburg has a lot of good public opinion. He might be able to convince V5 or Hunter Associations to help Beyond on the journey to dark continent. I don't see the how Tserriednich would benefit Beyond for dark continent journey.

# Halkenburg as Beyond's Child might trigger a moral dilemma twist

When the succession war ends to two prince left, Tserriednich and Halkenburg. It will be hard for Longhi ( and probably Kurapika ) to kill Halkenburg. Killing Halkenburg would mean that a rotten evil prince will raise to the throne, at the same time, not killing Halkenburg would mean that Longhi surrendering her own life purpose. It would make an interesting twist for the story.

But, if turns out Tserriednich is the real Beyond's child, it will be a smooth sailing for Kurapika to kill him, another reason for him to kill Tserriednich and I don't think Togashi would make the the story smooth like that.

# The Kacho's letter

On chapter 403, Kacho told to us about Halkenburg is a child from Queen Unma and raised by Queen Duazul to prevent assassination from the older brother ( Kacho got information from internet, so it might be just a rumor or false information ). Queen Unma's "over-proudness" towards Halkenburg for me is a little too sus. And there might be another motive to why Queen Unma choose Duazul as Halkenburg's caretaker.

Chapter 413 spoiler : >!Also, Queen Unma knows the existence of Beyond's curse too ( chapter 413 ). This is suspicious, and I don't think the curse is a known fact among the queens. !<

From this, I can make a 3 scenario :

  1. Queen Unma is actually proud towards Halkenburg, and really wants him to become the next king. Queen Unma received instruction from Beyond to hide Halkenburg as her own child, passing him to queen Duazul instead. Then, silently raising Halkenburg to have a good personality, good public reputation, brainwashing him that he is the most ideal child to become a king, etc. Queen Unma's favourability towards Halkenburg is too much imo. Like, queen Duazul for example, doesn't have much favorability towards who would win on the succession war. Granted, that if you have 2 rotten kids, you might favor the brightest, the brilliant kid instead.

Queen Unma's action on Chapter 413 is>! a response of revenge, because Benjamin killed Halkenburg there. But, at the same time, this also raise the chance of Tserriednich winning the succession war. !<

  1. Queen Unma is actually ashamed to acknowledge Halkenburg as her own child. Assuming that Beyond planted the child by force, not voluntary action, it makes sense for Unma doesn't want to raise him and choose Duazul as caretaker.

But, this raise the question, why so much favorability towards Halkenburg? Maybe this is just an act for the brothers to target Halkenburg more (because of jealousy)?

I admit that option two is a weak.

  1. Queen Unma is proud to Halkenburg, but she didn't know that Halkenburg is Beyond's child. When she give Halkenburg to queen Duazul, she swapped the real Halkenburg with Beyond's child. This would explain why Duazul doesn't favor any of her child, and refuse to help any of her children, because Duazul actually prefer Halkenburg to win.

It would be interesting if Duazul swapped all of her child to Beyond's child. But, I don't think so, it would defeat the purpose of the child sacrifice.
