Telugu Youth - A Weird Case

Rant

I think Telugu youth are going backwards as time passes. Most of them only know fan wars and hero worship. Some of them don't even care about the nation, even though they're living in it. All they seem to care about is their caste, religion, political party, or their favorite heroes.

If someone questions the government, they're immediately labeled as anti-national. If the person is Christian, they call them "gorre." If they're Muslim, they simply label them a terrorist. It's honestly so annoying how blindly people follow their leaders without questioning anything.

The worst part is that this mindset has become normal even among Gen Z. I've seen so many of my own friends make comments to my Muslim friends like, "Why are you guys planting bombs in our country?" I've also seen people look down on people from lower castes and assume they're only where they are because of reservations.

People also keep saying that so many seats are being taken by students through reservations, but if that's the case, the real solution is to remove the caste system itself. If caste-based discrimination truly disappears, then the need for caste-based reservations would naturally become a different conversation. The problem is that even after 100 years, many Telugu people still won't let go of caste, and India as a whole hasn't been able to move beyond it either.

Then I go on Twitter/X and Instagram, and it's even worse. People keep posting things like "one party is the protector of Hindus and india " or "Save Hinduism from another part," and anyone with a different opinion is treated like an enemy. Instead of having actual discussions, people just attack, mock, and stereotype each other.

I genuinely feel Telugu people still have a lot of growing to do in terms of maturity and critical thinking. Too many people blindly follow politicians, actors, or influencers without questioning anything. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone, but it's becoming common enough that it's hard to ignore.

Twitter/X is probably the worst place for this. You can't even have a normal conversation without it turning into fan wars, political fights, or religious hate. The people there can be exhausting.

I know this doesn't represent every Telugu person. There are plenty of thoughtful and open-minded people too. But these kinds of attitudes have become so common online that it's hard to ignore. I really hope future generations focus more on critical thinking, empathy, and meaningful discussions instead of blind hero worship, caste pride, and religious hatred.
