I recently came across their family’s social media again after Neha’s engagement. I even liked a couple of her Uttarakhand posts because they were genuinely beautiful.

Then I looked a little further.

Her father seems more interested in displaying photos with leaders than celebrating his own daughter’s engagement. His profile picture itself is with politicians, not his family, which I found quite telling.

What disappointed me far more, though, was the sisters’ stance. They were silent for a while during the protests, and now they’ve chosen to post *against* them. Anjali (the one who lies the most), who was a teacher herself, sharing such views is especially disheartening. Considering that a large part of their audience consists of NEET aspirants—and that their own younger brother has just completed Class 12—I expected at least some empathy and sensitivity toward students.

This also isn’t the first time I’ve questioned their credibility. For a long time they’ve promoted products without proper disclosures and have endorsed questionable products, while presenting themselves as trustworthy influencers.
Influencers build careers on public trust. It’s completely fair for people to question them when their actions don’t align with the image they project. Holding public figures accountable isn’t “unkindness”—it’s expecting consistency, transparency, and responsibility from people who profit from their audience’s trust.
