How do I know if I am being delusional or not?

3 years ago I thought this guy in my class was cute but I never saw him after or interacted then, 10 months ago we got a class together for the semester and had group work then towards the end of the semester we kinda interacted more and I started to admire the way he is, such as his morals in life, I later followed him on instagram and since then talked and texted some times and liked each others stories but never had a full conversation other than when we had the same class the second time, once a while I checked his reposts I feel like we both feel the same way but I am not sure I also want to mention we haven’t talked in 2/3 months
