[HIRING] Paying 2,000–4,000 DFR (~$15–30) per accepted long-form crypto/DAO guide - for writers who actually know the space
Full transparency up front: I'm the founder of DAOForum (daoforum.org), a forum built specifically for DAO builders. I'm seeding it with ~50 evergreen, in-depth guides, and I'd rather pay people who genuinely know this stuff than churn out filler myself.
What it is
There's a pinned list of 50 open "briefs" - specific topics with a set scope. A few examples:
- "Snapshot vs Tally vs Aragon vs OpenBook vs Boardroom (2026 comparison)"
- "The 10 most common Solidity vulnerabilities still found in 2026 audits"
- "Stablecoins explained: USDC vs USDT vs DAI vs USDe vs PYUSD"
- "Legal structures for DAOs in 2026: Cayman, Wyoming LLC, Marshall, Swiss, BVI"
You claim one, you get 7 days to write it, a mod reviews it against a must-cover checklist, and if it's accepted you get paid within 24h. Not on the list? You can pitch your own topic and a mod will scope + price it before you start.
Pay (by difficulty tier, shown before you claim)
- T1 / Standard: 2,000 DFR
- T2 / Research: 3,000 DFR
- T3 / Deep: 4,000 DFR
DFR is our token. It's currently around $0.0078, so that's roughly $15 / $23 / $31 per accepted guide at today's price. It floats - I'm not going to pretend it's fixed, it could be worth more or less by the time you cash out. You get paid in DFR to a wallet you provide; to turn it into dollars you'd swap DFR -> USDC on Uniswap, so you need to be comfortable doing that. The pool and contract are public, so you can verify the price yourself before deciding if it's worth your time.
Honest expectations
This is not an "easy $5k/week" thing (you've all seen those posts here). These are 1,200-2,000+ word researched guides with real sources cited. If you don't already know DAO governance / DeFi / smart-contract topics, this isn't the gig for you. If you do, it's a straightforward way to get paid for writing what you already know. AI assistance is fine and you don't have to disclose it - but a mod may ask you a question or two about your own guide before payout, so you have to actually understand what you submitted. Plagiarism = permanent ban.
Limits (so nobody wastes time)
- Max 3 claims per person in the first 30 days
- One active claim at a time
- Reject rate over 50% -> short cooldown
If you're interested, the full list of 50 briefs and the exact rules are here: https://daoforum.org/threads/curated-launch-library-open-briefs.52/ - you claim one right in that thread.
Genuinely curious too: for those of you already writing crypto content, is getting paid in a project's own token a dealbreaker, or is it fine as long as there's a liquid pool to cash out on? Trying to figure out how people actually feel about it.
