I'm just here to talk about my opinion on this franchise briefly as this is the only please I can discuss games lol, as for context I'm a souls player, loves challenges, big fan of fromsoft, and I like Metroidvania. Here is my review :

Pros:

* The music, oh boy, it makes every area a blast to navigate, it really made it the best soundtrack of a game, maybe in contest with E33
* The exploration was super fan, was waaaaay better than te last Metroidvania I've played (Nine Sols)
* I loved the huge improvements they made in the sequel, the altarpiece was a fun idea, 3 weapons 3 mechanics was also nice
* the art/story is fucking great, what an atmosphere !!!
* the voice acting was also phenomenal too
* the DLC was awesome too

Cons: (not hating tho, the game is great)

* Might be weird but the bosses are a bit too easy (?) except Eviterno, fuck that guy. I'm not a fun of hard bosses, but throwing a challenging optional boss or two might have been better (Isidora was great ngl) -- I heard of the NG+ bosses of the first game, but that's a time commitments that I'm not willing to take
* The count of bosses is kinda low (compared to hollow knight)
* I didn't love that they kinda switched to small bosses instead of background bosses like in the first game, it was great art wise.
* I would say a better map would help 100% the game better (yeah I'm at the 99)

That's it overall, the loved the game and I hope for more DLC or a 3rd game whataver the team decided I'll be there. Blasphemous become my top 2 Metroidvania oat after Hollow Knight (it's just hard to beat that TOP1 spot imo, maybe I'm biased)

My Brief Honest Review on the Blasphemous Franchise
