Women of reddit: what do you consider ghosting?

I've gotten the vibe that some men and women have different meanings of ghosting.

Women of reddit, do you consider it ghosting if the man doesn't initiate contact with you? Or only if the man doesn't respond after you've reach out to him? Please explain your thinking.

For reference, there have been many times when I've stopped reaching out to women I've dated, because I felt I was constantly carrying the whole weight of every conversation, or because I wasn't highly enthusiastic about them. I'd then stop messaging to see if they reached out - nothing, complete silence. I don't consider myself ghosted, because I don't think not reaching out is the same as not responding. But I'd be curious what women think on this topic.
