Ghost touch issue on Samsung A06

Hi, I am writing this post in hopes of finding a solution or suggestions as to how I can solve or reduce ghost touches on my Samsung A06.

Last year on my 17^(th) birthday my parents gave me this phone for school and other work related purposes and since then I have taken very good care of this device and it has not shown any flaws until from the past 3-4 months when the screen started to ghost touch when I am typing or playing games.

The ghost touches don’t happen all the time but rather it happens suddenly out of nowhere. At first I thought it was because the phone was hot and was registering random touches on the digitizer when I was playing games but it also started happening when I use social media apps and the phone is at a minimal temperature. Now the fun part is that the ghost touches would go away when I restarted or turned the screen on and off using the side button and now I don’t know if this specific problem of mine could be labelled as hardware damage.

The phone has never been dropped before and there is no signs of screen damage from the outside.Till now I have tried a lot of methods like switching the screen protector and the case, tried turning on and off accidental touch and touch sensitivity settings, tried clearing the ram and turned off background processes from developer mode, turned off ram plus, switched from dark theme to light.

About the Phone

Samsung A06 4/64

Processor- Mediatek dimensity 6300

The phone is currenty on android 16 and one ui 8.0 which I updated from one ui 7 thinking that it would fix the problem if it was a buggy os but it didn’t help.

Any advice on how to fix or reduce this is welcome here. I cannot afford a new phone right now and the 1 year warranty for this has also ended.
