Caste-based reservation should end in India (and yes, Dharmendra Pradhan must resign).

:discuss: Discussion

I will keep it as short as possible.

If caste-based discrimination exists, the government should also identify and address other forms of discrimination. In the LGBTQ+ community, ask any child from it you will hear the horrors they have faced throughout their lives.

Colour-based discrimination is real too. Many private sector companies do not hire dark-skinned people for front desk or sales roles. Even dark-skinned beauty influencers get far fewer brand promotions than fair-skinned ones.

There are thousands of other discriminations that people face on a daily basis.

Most of the time, if you express your thoughts on ending caste-based reservation, you get taunts like: “Will you marry your daughter or sister to a lower-caste man?” These comments often come from oppressed people and their politicians. whom they want to marry, whether inter-caste or within the same caste. India is like the European Union, where each region follows the same religion but also has its own indigenous traditions and customs. If people want to marry, it is their will; if they don’t, it is also their will.

Indian news channels often fuel and sell their stories by making every incident involving a reserved-category victim look like a caste atrocity, even when no caste angle is involved.

Discrimination exists even within castes SCs discriminate against other SCs, and many fourth-varna (Shudra) castes who have improved their financial status after independence have become among the most casteist. For example, communities like J@t, G**ja₹s, Ah₹s, etc., in North India (Haryana, UP, Bihar, NCR) show high levels of casteism.

Every type of reservation should end. Instead, it is the govt duty they should arrange free teachers and coaching for those who cannot afford expensive ones rather than handing them the final ripped fruit without any hard work.

The failure to address discrimination is mainly due to the police and law-and-order machinery, which often fails to deliver justice. These institutions must work harder to end all forms of discrimination. Instead of creating reverse descrimination against others

One more point: even though 60% seats are reserved, the remaining 40% general seats are not exclusively for general-category candidates. Reserved-category candidates can also take those seats if they clear the general cutoff.

**Dharmendra Pradhan must resign**

I do not support rss, cjp AAP, BJP, Congress, RSS, Nihang, NRC-CAA, or any such group.

I support the students and demand fair competition for all.
