Need advice on travel

Hello I'm planning a trip to Srilanka for 12 days, this is the rough itinerary so far

Day 1: Arrival, train to Galle

Day 2: Ahangama

Day 3: Mirissa

DY 4: Hiriketiya

Day 5: Ella

Day 6: Ella to Nanu Oya train. stay at Nuwara Eliya

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya

Day 8, 9, 10: Trincomalee

Day 11: Train to Colombo

Day 12: Return flight

In the south coast, we are thinking of taking tuk-tuk between places but we are confused about inter-city travel between hiriketiya to ella and then nuwara eliya to trincomalee. Are the trains available or buses?
