Is the ADHD medication shortage actually that bad?

Hey guys, I just got diagnosed with ADHD and will probably start meds soon. I keep seeing people talk about how bad the stimulant shortage is and how hard it is to get generics filled at pharmacies. Some even say folks are going to sketchy sources.

Is it really as bad as everyone makes it sound, or is it exaggerated? If it’s real, any tips for actually being able to get my prescription consistently? I’m starting college soon and really want this to go smoothly. Thanks!
