The Guardian: On the earnings call, Musk once again claimed that Optimus would be the “biggest product ever”, but cautioned that it faced a number of hurdles given the technological advancements it would require and the difficulties of scaling its production... 

... Musk has for years declared that the autonomous driving service will have almost infinite demand and claimed that millions of the self-driving cars would soon be on US roads. As is frequently the case with Musk’s promises, he has failed to reach those lofty targets and rollout has been slow.

My Opinion: Musk keeps making outrageous claims for his businesses and its products. Which are unlikely or impossible to achieve. For both Tesla and SpaceX. Optimus will face stifff competition from Chinese companies like Unitree; the only market it can be a leader in will be the protected US market. There is no such thing as almost infinite. He and his companies are behind in Starship and Robotaxi. They are bleeding cash. Robotaxi is behind Waymo in US. 

Rather than trying to take over the world, Tesla should focus on growing domestic market share and becoming profitable.
