After 4 years of building, I got my first paying customer.
For the last four years, I've been building products that almost nobody used.
Some launches got a few upvotes.
Some got encouraging comments.
Most quietly disappeared.
A few days ago, I got my first paying customer for My product.
The funny part?
The payment itself wasn't the best feeling.
The best feeling was realizing that someone I'd never met looked at something I built and thought,
"This solves my problem. It's worth paying for."
For a few minutes, I just stared at the notification.
Four years of failed ideas, abandoned side projects, and countless late nights suddenly felt worth it.
It's only one customer.
There's still a long way to go.
But I'll probably remember the first one more than any future MRR milestone.
If you're still building and it feels like nobody cares yet, keep going.
Sometimes all it takes is one person believing in what you've built.
