My baby with high palate still has latch issues at 3 months

Is my baby’s latch likely to ever get better, he’s always had latch issues and before I would try and correct it and use nipple shields when the pain got too much.

Now I just use nipple shields all the time after I was told his latch would would likely never get better as I don’t see the point in causing unnecessary pain, however occasionally I will latch him without just to see if it has improved.

Is this likely to ever actually improve or will I just have to always use nipple shields?
