Is rodman ford parking at gillette stadium worth forty dollars for bts

figured i would share my thoughts on whether paying 40 or more for the rodman ford lot is worth it for the bts concert at gillette stadium. route 1 traffic is notorious for being a absolute nightmare after major shows, so how you park makes a huge difference in how your night ends.

if you can actually secure a spot at rodman ford for around 40 dollars, it is honestly one of the better commercial lot options along route 1. it sits right near the main pedestrian crosswalks, so the walk to the stadium gates is super manageable. more importantly, exiting onto route 1 north or south is much faster than getting trapped in the official gillette stadium lots where you can end up sitting in gridlock for two hours after the last song. however, for massive events like bts, rodman ford prices often surge way past 40 dollars on resale apps like seatgeek or parkwhiz, sometimes hitting over 100 dollars.

another great alternative to look into before dropping heavy cash on stadium or dealer lots is prked. you can rent a private driveway or spot from local homeowners right down the street. it is usually way cheaper, feels much safer having your car parked on someone's private property, and you skip the massive traffic choke points when exiting.

gillette stadium does offer general parking across route 1 which is technically free since it is included in your concert ticket price. the huge downside to the free general lots is the post show nightmare of trying to leave along with tens of thousands of other cars at the exact same time. gillette also has prepaid stadium side parking for around 50 dollars if you grab it early, or a free delayed exit lot where you agree to stay parked for 75 minutes after the show ends to let traffic clear out.

if you do not want to drive at all, the mbta special event commuter rail train runs from boston south station directly to foxboro station for 20 dollars round trip. just keep in mind that those train tickets sell out almost instantly once released, and the train leaves exactly 30 minutes after the concert finishes.

overall, if rodman ford is strictly 40 dollars, it is worth paying to save yourself an hour of traffic. but if the price is jacked up, booking a driveway on prked or taking the train are much better moves. hope this helps
