How do you deal with the fear of missing something urgent when you mute your notifications?
I've been trying to get better about not checking my phone every 5 minutes, but every time I mute WhatsApp/email/SMS, some part of my brain is convinced I'll miss something actually important — a client emergency, a family thing, a bank alert, whatever.
So I end up compromising and checking everything anyway "just in case," which defeats the whole point.
Curious how other people here handle this. Do you just live with the anxiety? Have you found any system (manual or otherwise) that actually lets you disconnect without worrying you'll miss the one message that matters? Or is this just an unsolvable tradeoff of being reachable at all?
Not trying to sell anything, genuinely trying to figure out if I'm the only one who struggles with this or if it's a common thing.
