Jim treated several people poorly because he couldn't get over his feelings for Pam. He ended things badly with Katie and admitted to Karen that he still loved Pam, suggesting he only dated other women to distract himself. His pranks on Dwight were often mean-spirited, and in a real workplace he likely would have faced consequences from HR. He also pushed Andy to the point of anger management by hiding his phone in the ceiling and even encouraged Andy to pursue Pam just to hide his own feelings, which came across as especially selfish.
