The moment you finish the game loop of your new strategy/automation game

Discussion

I’m sure this is something every game developer can relate to — especially those who don’t just rely their games on an engine like Unity or Unreal: that incredibly satisfying feeling when the game loop finally closes for the first time.

It might all look like a child’s drawing made in MS Paint, interspersed with console logs — but all proving it’s actually running and you’ve managed to wire all those little pieces together.

That’s exactly what happened yesterday with my new strategy/automation game. It’s just awesome. What have your experiences been like?
