Your Experience in Having an External DAP or AMP

I am a newbie to the audio world.

I own a Hiby R1 and a MacBook Pro 14 inch, and I am thinking of only keeping one as reviews say that the two sounds pretty identical and there is not distinguishable difference. I don't know if I am having placebo but I think that my Hiby R1 recreates warmer tone, which I highly refer.

What do are your thoughts on the CS43131 DAC inside of the Hiby R1?

I am thinking of getting Hiby FC4 (oled display version) that has dual CS43131 (same as the R1) for the compactness. Is this product offer better sound quality than the R1 or the MacBook Pro?
