Finally found baby dress shoes that survive than one event. What's your BIFL baby/toddler shoe find?
Random thought,. Does anyone else find it weirder to buy "occasion" shoes for babies than everyday ones? I feel like regular baby shoes at get worn into the ground fast enough that cheap ones "make sense " but party/dress shoes get worn twice a year and still fall apart scuff instantly or the soles crack from just sitting in a closet.
I finally found a pair of leather buckle shoes that have survived two weddings, a christening and a full year of my toddler using them as fancy walking practice" shoes around the house and they still look almost new. Genuinely didn't expect leather baby shoes to hold up like that given how they get kicked chewed and stepped in mud within five minutes of leaving the car.
Made me wonder what the actual BIFL logic is for kids occasion wear in general since they grow out of everything fast anyway. Is it even worth buying "built to baby shoes if they'll only fit for 6 months?. Is the durability more about resale/hand-me-down value than the original kid ever getting years out of them?
Curious if anyones found a brand or style of baby/toddler dress shoes that actually earns a spot here or if this category is just a lost cause and disposable is the smarter call, for anything that grows out of size that fast.
