Unofficial Petition for the boys to read “Annihilation” by Jeff Vandermeer.

Post is pretty much title!

I may be biased in that Vandermeer is my favorite author, but I think the boys would really love this story. The audiobook version is around the same length as the episode they just released, and with how much they both loved the twists + reveals in that one (I did too, fantastic story!) as well as other stories that hit that type of certain plot delivery, I thought they really would enjoy Annihilation. The book also differs from the movie in quite a few significant ways; without giving spoilers for either I think the book version fits more in the cosmic / eco-horror realm in comparison to the more sci-fi feel of the movie, and would overall just be a good read for the show.

There are also quite a few major elements of it that are, dare I say, rather Lovecraftian as well. 👀

That’s it, thats my pitch, and honestly my ultimate personal “Holy Grail” suggestion for the guys to read (at least; until I finish my own story and submit it as an option lol).
