My friends don't take me doing sports seriously.

I grew up being god awful at sports. I hated it, and was always the kid who was picked last. All of my friends growing up did do sports, some just thrived in gym class, others did it outside of school to a relatively high degree.

Somehow, as adults this all swapped around. They all stopped completely, and I just got really into it. I would love to go semi-pro one day or become a sports influencer of sorts, and its not that far fetched of a dream for me. Still a lot of luck and hard work involved, but its not, not a possibility y'know.

The friends I grew up with just cannot see it at all for me. They think I turn up for the social vibe of it and don't actually work out that hard. That I am on an equivalent of a walking football team.

They do encourage me, but its in a 'good for you' sort of way. They also try to teach me really basic things, like the other day I brought a mouthguard. They decided to explain how to use it to me, and gave me a tip on not buying a yellow one. Like, yeah. I know. I have done this a few times now.

As I said they all used to be sports kids. Maybe its jealousy, maybe there dreams sort of fizzled out and after seeing their own hard work they cant comprehend I could do something similar. Maybe its an age thing? I dont know.

Its just exhausting.
