How I aced the LNAT and how YOU can too.

Admissions Tests

The LNAT is hands down one of the worst tests to take - it's incredibly long and feels kind of tedious. I ended up having to read the questions over and over again to even understand what they meant (intention, inference).

I applied to Oxford, KCL, UCL, and Edinburgh for law and received a 30+ on the LNAT just by changing the way that I prepare.

The first thing you're going to want to do is go to [-exambo.org-] and do all of the practice problems they have and filter by HARD. Do not bother doing any of the other easy ones if you're already familiar with the questions.

The first time I took a diagnostic I got a 21 which is the national average (I think). So next, you need to go to the official LNAT website and make sure that you know your benchmark score (is it 20? is it 23? is it 14?).

Whatever it is, make sure that you know that's something you have to build on. Do not rely on memorizing vocabulary to understand the meaning of passages, all you have to do is get good at the PRACTICE of inference (figuring out meaning based on context and morphemes).

Thanks, good luck!
