My sibling is doing history honours from DU, need carriers advice for future endeavours

History

Some pre context my sister”s qualifications is from humanities background based in delhi she filled for history honours under CUET as this was the only eligible course at the time she could get admissiong into, she had little interest in psychology but didn’t got admission into it. So considering DU is a renowned college she got admission in off campus college.

But now as expected this course has no major vision, for buying time she is just extending up into 4 year program now, which gives her advantage of completing masters after this 4 year degree.

from above context i think you know she is very average or below average at studies, in between she tried MBA CAT too but seeing toughness she decided not to continue, having no background in maths etc she didn’t understood, i saw clearly she is struggling with it. So instead of wasting time and effort into it.

i thought to ask her to pivot to teaching where she do either b.ed or PHD. i am in favour of Phd as she is in middle of her 4 year program, or i suggested to go for phd from a foreign university on a student loan. Why i say so is because indian universities are in very bad condition if you are enrolled i feel you can complete it

Can you suggest are there any other good options in india to explore to get an avg working life, govt jobs are yet another way but pays and reducing benefits doesn’t looks luring to me anymore except if you are in a department which can earn you money under the table, and is a very bad option.

What are the scope of foreign educations, humanities have much more respect and resources in europe compared to india i feel but what else could be other options. Dont have resource to fund foreign education but on a student loan we can give it a try
