37 M. I have been to some failed relationships. Previous long-term relationship ended due to cheating. Kasal na lang ang kulang sa amin but she cheated and get pregnant with her workmate and the worst, engaged na raw sila while we're still together. Past is past and I've forgiven her and moved on with our lives. I was genuinely happy for her and they have built their own family.

After that heart breaking relationship, I tried to enter into new ones, and the recent one ended almost kind of the same (may mahal siyang iba and sayang ang effort) Ayoko na talaga, I am afraid to enter another relationship, and I am getting old na rin. But I always wanted to have my own family. I wanted to have kids... A daughter of my own. Nakikita ko iyong relationship ng father and daughter ng ibang guys na kasabayan ko and minsan nangangarap ako ng "what if" natuloy iyong previous relationship ko and we have kids. Sigh. But those are just day dreaming.

Until recently, now knowing, bigla na lang ako napaisip na the Lord might have already given me a daugther of my own--a black cat.

Misty is a black persian cat with white belly. She's almost 5 years old now and the first cat in her litter. Ever since, bias ko na talaga siya sa lahat ng mga pusa ko. She has been through a lot, nafractured ang leg ng kitten pa lang and recovered/healed, parvo survivor and the sickness has taken away her flexibility as a cat--meron na siyang wobbly cat syndrome, she can't jump up and down and in her early days of sickness lagi siyang natutumba kapag nagpoopoo and naglalakad (although her gait has already improved). But during those parvo days, I looked after her sa bahay, monitor her dextrose, even sacrificed my job's time just to take care of her.

That was years ago. Fast forward to 2026, she underwent an emergency Caesarian with spay because she can't contract para malabas iyong babies niya. I found out patay na pala lahat ng babies niya sa loob ng tyan nya and her uterus has been twisted kaya wala ng contraction and oxygen ang kittens sa loob. After operation, she was confined for more than a week to recover and umabot sa point na the vet even recommended a blood transfusion, although hindi natuloy. To make a point, I did the same sacrifices for her while she is confined in the clinic: I will visit her every after work and feed her. I did that twice a day kahit nagsasawa na ung vet sa pagmumukha ko kakadalaw. I know if she was let alone sa clinic ng hindi ako nakikita she will be depressed and will more likely will not recover. I know kasi I took care of her during parvo and she survived because I look after her and pinaramdam ko sa kaniya na love ko siya.

My question is... Am I doing it too much? Dahil ba because I wanted to have a daughter I found it with Misty? I love all my cats, and Misty especially. I will never give up on them kahit gaano pa kagastos ang alagaan sila kapag may sakit and emergency. I just want to know if meron bang katulad kong ganito ang treatment sa mga cats nila and fur babies. I have been longing for a daughter, but I think I got a daughter na in a form of a cat that I have been asking for 🖤

Been wanting to have myown family/kids, but been given with a "cat daughter"
