HDFC Biz Power Reward Points Queries
I hold an HDFC Biz Power Credit Card and need a clarification regarding the reward point eligibility.
I am planning to make a one-time school fee payment of ₹90,000 directly to the school using my Biz Power Credit Card.
I understand that the card requires ₹25,000 of eligible non-Tax/GST spend in a statement cycle to unlock the accelerated rewards on Tax/GST transactions.
Can anyone please clarify:
Does the ₹90,000 school fee payment qualify as an "eligible non-Tax/GST spend" for meeting the ₹25,000 threshold?
If not, under which MCC/category is it treated?
Will the ₹90,000 school fee payment earn any reward points?
If yes, how many reward points?
If no, please confirm that it is completely excluded from rewards.
Will this payment count toward unlocking the accelerated reward benefit for Tax/GST payments in the same statement cycle?
If I make the school fee payment first and then pay Income Tax/GST later in the same statement cycle, will the Tax/GST transaction be eligible for accelerated reward points?
If the school fee payment does not qualify, what types of transactions do qualify for the ₹25,000 eligible non-Tax/GST spend requirement?
Please provide a few examples.
Does the ₹25,000 threshold need to be completed before the Tax/GST payment, or is it sufficient that both transactions occur within the same statement cycle?
Is there any restriction based on the merchant category code (MCC) of the school?
If the school processes payments under an education MCC, does that affect eligibility?
Can you confirm the maximum accelerated reward points I can earn on Tax/GST payments in a statement cycle after meeting the eligibility criteria?
If I pay ₹90,000 in one transaction, will it be treated differently from multiple smaller transactions for eligibility purposes?
Can you please confirm your response with reference to the latest Biz Power Credit Card Terms & Conditions applicable today?
I have not made any Tax/GST transactions in the current statement cycle yet and am planning my spends accordingly.
