How do you search for a problem that people really need it's solution?

I'm trying to learn the stuff which people already did and got success.

I may build all kinds of development and design projects. But how I don't know what exactly works fine and where to start Problem hunting and how to collect and what to collect to find the real problem to work on it. Please share your method of doing that...so we learn from it .. thank you :)
