Need Guidance for GATE Preparation as a Beginner
This is my first time posting here, so I hope I'm in the right place.
I recently graduated in Mechanical Engg., and until graduation I never seriously considered preparing for GATE. My original plan was to get a job right after college. However, I've now decided that preparing for GATE might be a better option, and I'm planning to start from August.
The problem is that I'm a bit confused about how to begin.
My biggest question is whether coaching is actually necessary. I've heard mixed opinions some people say coaching is essential, while others say it's completely possible to crack GATE through self-study if you're disciplined and follow a well-structured plan.
The thing is, I consider myself an average student. I don't have enough confidence that I can prepare entirely on my own and score well, so I'm leaning towards joining a coaching program.
I prefer online coaching over offline, but there are so many options that I'm completely confused. I've heard about Made Easy, GO Classes, Unacademy, GATE Wallah, Exergic, and a few others, but I have no idea which one is actually worth it for Mechanical Engineering.
One more thing I'd like to mention is that I'm not in a position to spend a huge amount on coaching. So I'm looking for something that offers good value for money without compromising too much on quality.
Since I'm already starting later than many aspirants, I don't want to waste time making the wrong decision.
If you've prepared for GATE or have experience with any online coaching platform, I'd really appreciate your advice.
Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help!🤗
