MOE to Tertiary Institution for Experienced Officers

Hi all,

Has anyone here (or someone you know) moved from MOE to a lecturer role in a polytechnic or other tertiary institution?

How has the transition been? What are the biggest pros and cons?

I've been with MOE for 20+ years. Over time, the increasing demands and changing expectations have made me lose the passion I once had. I'm looking for a fresh start but, with a family to support, I need to think carefully before making the leap.

Would love to hear from anyone who's made the move, whether as a GEO or SEO. Any regrets? Worth it?

TIA.
