Check-In - 7/23/26

Good morning everyone! It looks like some of the issues with generating chapters have returned as of last night. I'm communicating with the team on this but if you are experiencing chapters taking much longer to generate or if they're failing outright or cutting off halfway, please send an email to support@redquill.net with the following information:

1. The affected story link/URL or code. Links/URLs or codes of affected chapters also helps.

2. Chapter length (standard/novella/novel) and writer option (standard/Ember/Ink).

3. The device you're using (desktop/laptop or mobile), as well as the browser you're using (Edge/Chrome/Firefox/etc.).

4. How many quills and advanced writes did you lose?

For those of you who are seeing intermittent error messages when trying to generate chapters (i.e. 404 pages, "response not successful" message, "story owner" message, etc.) please include these in your message as well. We know that sometimes, the error messages that pop up at the bottom of the screen during chapter generation do not stay on screen for long, so it may be difficult to get a screenshot of them, but even just basic information of what you're seeing helps.
