How can I realistically get the Rick Grimes hairstyle?

I know they have their own stylists, products and all but realistically is it possible to achieve Andrew Lincoln's hair in TWD? My hair type is thick and heavy, straight and slightly wavy. It's similar to Lincoln's but not curly in a sense. I also tend to not use any products apart from shampoo and conditioner.
