Situationahip gave me syphilis :(

I started seeing this guys in 2024. We hooked up regularly and used condoms. Then in 2025 he told me he wanted to have unprotected sex. I got tested beforehand and everything came back negative. He told me he did the same and his results were similar.

We had agreed to exclusivity at that point but after a while I felt like he was lying. When I was at his place , I found multiple female belongings and when I confronted him about it he played it off and said it had been there for years.

I eventually cut contact with him earlier this year. I recently got tested again and found out I have syphilis. I feel so embarrassed. It was a rapid test but they drew some blood to send it to the lab to know for sure. My next appointment is in 2 weeks to get my results but at this point I know I have it. I don't have any symptoms though.

Idk , I just feel so weird and hurt. Its going to be so humiliating disclosing this to future partners , but I will nonetheless.
