ASUS ROG Strix G17 BSOD → SSD disappeared from BIOS → Now detected but no Windows Boot Manager
have an ASUS ROG Strix G17 (2022) with a Ryzen 7 6800H, RTX 3050, and a 512 GB Micron 2450 NVMe SSD.
Today, while I was simply viewing a PDF, Windows suddenly showed a BSOD saying "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart."
After the restart, the laptop booted straight into the BIOS. Initially, the BIOS showed "No Storage Device Present."
I powered the laptop off and on again. Now the BIOS detects my Micron NVMe SSD, but Boot Option Priorities is completely empty and Windows Boot Manager is missing. Pressing F10 (Save & Exit) just returns me to the BIOS.
I haven't changed any BIOS settings or updated the BIOS recently.
Does this sound like:
a corrupted EFI/Windows bootloader,
a failing NVMe SSD,
or something else?
Any suggestions for troubleshooting without immediately reinstalling Windows? I have important data on the SSD.
