Just realized how concentrated my net worth is in my company's stock — anyone else in this boat?

Personal Finance

I work in tech and like a lot of people here, a chunk of my comp is RSUs. I never really sat down and added up vested + unvested + ESPP as a percentage of my total net worth until recently.

Turns out it was way higher than I expected. Not going to share the exact number, but let's just say it made me rethink things.

What surprised me most wasn't the number itself — it was realizing I'd been making hold/sell decisions purely based on how I "felt" about the stock that week, not any actual plan. No target %, no system, just vibes.

I've been reading more about how people approach this (systematic selling on vesting, target concentration percentages, etc.) and it's helped me think about it way more clearly.

Curious how others here handle it — do you have a target % you try to stay under? Or a rule for what you sell vs. hold at each vest?
