Anyone feels very simple-minded yet with no desire to change that?

Discussion

When I see people having arguments presenting creative deep thoughts, analyzing this or that and coming up with clever solutions to problems with their brains on 24/7, the thought always strikes me that those people are a different species than me.

My brain seems to be 'off' most of the time. I can understand and learn shit when I really put my mind to it but that's rare, usually I have a pretty low drive and it's nothing like these people who essentially live in this problem solving, eloquence land, thinking all day.

And as impressive as that ability seems from the outside, I have no true desire to start reading books or thinking about shit in my spare time, it seems like a huge drag honestly.

I think this unwillingness to engage with the mind only widens the divide between normal people and me, because at 30 years old I'm supposed to be this critical thinker who is knowledgeable about the world and is a capable guy, but I'm a far cry from that.

Anyone relate?
