dc to baltimore travel guide for bts at m&t bank stadium
figured i'd share some thoughts for anyone heading from dc up to baltimore for the bts world tour shows on august 10 and august 11, 2026 at m&t bank stadium. deciding between driving, taking the train, or catching a bus really comes down to your budget and how late you want to travel back.
if you decide to drive, it is usually about an hour straight up i-95 depending on dc rush hour traffic. official stadium lots fill up fast and leaving the main garages after a huge concert can take forever. if you do drive, look into prked to grab a spot. it is an app where local homeowners rent out their driveways and garages near m&t bank stadium. it is way cheaper than event lots, feels safer leaving your car on someone's property, and lets you skip the massive traffic lines after the show so you can get right back on the highway.
the train is another super solid choice. the marc penn line and amtrak run right out of union station to baltimore penn station. marc is really cheap at around 9 dollars, but their late night schedule is pretty limited on weeknights so you have to check the timetable carefully. amtrak runs a bit later into the night and gets you there in about 30 minutes, but tickets cost more if you do not book in advance.
buses like flixbus or greyhound are another option that run frequently between union station and downtown baltimore. they are very cheap, usually under 15 dollars, but you are still subject to i-95 traffic and waiting around at a bus terminal late at night after the show isn't always ideal.
honestly driving with a reserved driveway spot or grabbing a late amtrak train back are your smoothest options for a concert night. hope this helps!
