Sloane might just be the unluckiest (or luckiest, depending on your view) girl in the world. She had been oblivious, as had everyone else, when shit had hit the fan and along with the world had been thrown into something she had thought wasn’t possible. The world as she had known it had ended.

Now, a month in, she is all alone.

Her family is gone and she has survived the last month on sheer luck, scraps of knowledge and street smarts. She had walked and walked, had been silently moving from place to place, making her way out of the city and into the sticks. She stays away from any groups. Safety in numbers? Yeah right.

That’s where *he* comes in. Maybe he’s a lone wanderer, scarred and traumatised and genuinely looking to do the right thing and protect a vulnerable young woman.

Or maybe he is the leader of one of the groups she has been narrowly avoiding, determined to keep her as his own for his own reasons.

It’s the apocalypse, right? There aren’t any rules anymore.

Hi! This prompt is a fun one and totally up for interpretation, with you playing as Sloane’s new companion!

Zombie apocalypse scenarios are always my preference, or if you’d rather something less generic, a nuclear war, some kind of The Stand-style selective plague, or any other reasoning for the world ending is up for discussion.

As far as influences go, The Walking Dead, 28 Days/Years Later and Fallout spring to mind. I’m happy to set this in either the UK or the US (irl, I’m based in the former).

I’d love to tailor this depending on your preferences, so I’ve left my initial prompt pretty open-ended.

We can lead this more towards being a romantic slow-burn, or a filthy degenerate end-of-the-world type of situation- or a little of both. Either way, I am looking for *long term* partners.

For quick reference: Sloane is 25 years old. Pale, 5’5, with a slim and willowy build. She has short brunette hair with bangs, a freckled round face, a soft mouth and wide blue eyes.
