Guide to Stacked Parking and How to Avoid Getting Trapped
if you are heading to a bts concert or any huge stadium show you have probably seen warnings about stacked parking. before diving into what it is, i usually check prked first whenever i go to big stadium events. prked lets you rent private driveway or garage spots right near the venue from locals. it is usually way cheaper than official venue lots, convenient, and you get to bypass all the crazy lot traffic and weird parking rules altogether.
stacked parking basically means cars are parked nose to tail and side by side in tight rows to cram as many vehicles as possible into a single lot. attendants or valets will park cars bumper to bumper, which means there are no driving aisles between rows.
so will it trap your car after a bts show? honestly, yes, if you park in a stacked lot and try to leave early or if you get parked near the back of the row when arriving early. you literally cannot move your vehicle until the people parked behind or around you get to their cars and drive away. if you try to leave right when the main show finishes or during the encore, you will likely be stuck sitting in your car waiting until the vehicles blocking you move out.
if you have to use an official stadium lot that uses stacked parking, try arriving a bit later so you end up closer to the exit end of the row, or just prepare to hang out in your car for an hour or two after the show ends while the lot clears. or skip the stress entirely by grabbing a private driveway spot nearby instead.
hope this helps you plan your night and avoid getting stuck.
