Second COVID infection caused a major POTS flare — did you eventually return to baseline HR?

Discussion

I’m looking to hear from people with POTS who have had COVID.
I have hEDS, and my POTS was triggered after my first COVID infection. This is now my second COVID infection. I tested negative by day 4, and most of my acute COVID symptoms are now gone.
However, my POTS is flaring badly. I’m dealing with a much higher heart rate than usual, fatigue, and I just don’t feel like myself.
For reference, while on my usual POTS medication, my resting heart rate is normally around 75–80 bpm (sometimes up to 85), but now it’s been around 90–100 bpm. My standing heart rate is usually around 100 bpm, but now it’s often around 130 bpm, even with medication.
I’m really worried that this flare could become my new baseline.
For those of you with POTS:
Did COVID make your POTS permanently worse, or did you eventually return to your previous baseline?
If you did recover, how long did it take?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. I know everyone is different, but it would be reassuring to hear how others recovered. Thank you!
