After reading every post in this sub about Riverside 120 I decided to buy it. I ordered it online and when the bike arrived they forgot to give me the pedals and it was a used one. It took them 6 days to pick it up and refund my money.

So I decided to go to my nearby store which is 55 km from my place and get it assembled in front of me and to make sure it's a brand new one.

Many people in this sub recommended not to buy seat cover for saddle for long rides as it doesn't make that much sense. So I didn't buy one.

As it was my first cycle ride after a long long time and that too 55 km I knew my sitting bone will be fucked up but I had the motivation to ride this long distance. I didn't feel much for the first 20 km but then slowly my sitting bone started hurting and it kept becoming difficult for me to sit on that tough saddle. In the last 10 km I was feeling like I was sitting on a iron saddle lol 😆. After one day still I'm feeling stiffness in my sitting bone.

Apart from that I enjoyed the ride. The bike is very smooth and thanks to this sub to clarify my doubts and old post helped me a lot.

Now I need some suggestions from you guys. (I'm a total noob)

Almost everyone recommended not to buy mudguards from decathlon as they don't provide full coverage so I'll check the local shop if they have any otherwise you can recommend me.

From where do I buy other accessories apart from decathlon in cheap if you guys have suggestions please provide. I'm planning to buy Front and tail light.

From where do I buy extra tube and other accessories if my bike get punctured in the way and what are the other tools required to fix it.

Most importantly, should I get saddle cover or I should let my sitting bone and back to adjust to this hard saddle.

My plan:

Office commute 18 km (to and fro)

40-50 km twice a month

Long term plan is to ride 100+ km as a trip to somewhere but not now.

Thank you all and I welcome your suggestions 🙂
