How important is size vs capacity when you're actually picking a power bank

I've been thinking about this since a trip where I brought my typical larger power bank, believing that more capacity is always preferable. However, it mostly stayed in my bag because it was inconvenient to carry around, and on days when I didn't bring it at all because it felt like a hassle to pack, my capacity ran out.

I began to wonder if I would have benefited more from a smaller charger that I actually carry around every day, even if it had a smaller capacity.

After all, a charger that is always with you is preferable to one that is occasionally at home. I'm curious about what other people prioritize when purchasing one. Do you consider whether you'll actually carry it every day or do you go for maximum capacity?
