Main obstacle for noobs in getting blender to work...

:discussion: Discussion

I draw simple creatures and characters all the time. I would love to be able to bring them to life. I tried using blender a couple years ago, it was a massively infuriating experience.

context: I'm a sketchup user. Over 10 years, casual user, don't often finish projects.

What do you think is the main obstacle for sketchup users and the like in learning blender. The interface, menus, nomenclature, layout, ?

What could be done to remediate it?

Maybe the talented people at blender could make a free stand alone software that does the sketchup thing, the sketchup way (to the observer), but just does it better with true curves...
