Tarrant county clay + july heat = absolutely not

thought I was gonna be productive this weekend. decided I wanted to finally level out a spot in the backyard for some patio chairs.

Went out at 8am thinking it wouldn't be too bad yet. Guys, the dirt in my yard is basically brick right now. I literally jumped on the shovel and it didn't even dent the ground, just bent the metal edge of the spade. I am way too tired and my back is too messed up to be fighting texas soil in this heat

Im just paying streamline landscape to come do the actual stone work later this season because my diy pride is completely gone

Mad respect to all the road crews and roofers out there working in DFW right now. I lasted maybe 40 minutes before I had to retreat inside to lay on the floor directly under the ac vent. stay hydrated yall
