Do you get taken advantage of?

DAE

I understand not all schizoids are like me, but just from simply being so apathetic, it seems unlikely to think nobody would take that as a sign to use you for their own benefit in some way. Unless you've really only lived around good people.

I'm almost reaching 30, and yet I'm probably more infantile than the average 15 year old, in terms of "adulting." Ever since high school I've just stopped caring and holed myself up in my room, but honestly throughout my whole life my mother has done everything for me. Even when I turned 18 and went to go get my ID, I was dragged to it like everything else in life. Doing the bare minimum of what I was told without asking why, simply because I just don't care. And as if it were natural, of course when it was all done the one who ended up holding onto the ID would be my mother in the first place. Similar aspects to other things like opening a bank account and such.

I ended up learning about her collecting payments that I was supposed to receive (be it disability money, and I believe before the whole schizoid thing there was income being sent out for Covid? I've stayed closed off from the world so a bit unsure) without me ever knowing. Of course it makes sense, my whole life I've never shown interest in wanting to know, I don't initiate conversations with my household and in the first place, I can literally use my hands count the words I've spoken within the past few years. I understand that I've made myself unapproachable by intentionally not bothering with creating facial expressions, and just keeping my responses as brief as possible. But still, I don't believe that discredits the common sense of recognizing the entitlement of what I received.

If I had an issue with this, I could confront them. I could get what's regarded as mine, and if my mother refused I'm sure I could take it to law. But it's precisely because she knows that I don't care that she does this in the first place. I'm not a materialistic guy, but there is some sort of unrest I feel to this way of living where the only thing I acquire is whatever food's stocked in the fridge (since I'm sure at least a bit of my food stamps have contributed to it.) I'm a grown ass man and I've never known what it was like to purchase literally anything, never had allowance as a kid and I grew up only ever leaving my mother to buy anything. She stopped doing so when I turned an adult though, aside from routinely buying the same food to put in the fridge like she's making sure a pet doesn't die of starvation.

There is the fact that I'm just simply unlucky in my situation, where my "caretaker" is just simply my autistic drug addicted mother who probably gave me this condition in the first place from neglect my whole life. And even though I kept this simple, I had an experience of being handed over to my other family who I've had similar situations with of being taken advantage of because I'm so docile. But honestly while this just seems like complaining about financial dependence, it's more so just this feeling of being exploited that just gets to me a bit. Of course not enough to do anything about it, but just seeing hypocrites trying to pretend like they're not being selfish, while they use me knowing I won't do anything. And they're right because here I am just continuing to ponder over it to myself instead of doing anything about it. It's almost a shame that this feeling of spite isn't strong enough to give me motivation to properly live.

By the way this is primarily for the schizoids who don't care to play the game of life. The ones who are just bystanders to their own life, who have lived and will continue to live passive for their entire existence.
