What does collaboration look like in your design workflows?
Hi everyone, my name is Luke and I work on the Adobe community team. If you've ever spent time over in r/AdobeIllustrator, there's a good chance we've crossed paths.
I wanted to reach out to the broader graphic design community because I'm always trying to better understand how creative work is evolving. One area I'm particularly interested in right now is collaboration, and what that actually looks like today across different roles, teams, and creative workflows.
I'd love to hear what comes to mind when you think about collaboration in your day-to-day work. Whether you're an in-house designer, freelancer, agency creative, illustrator, production artist, or somewhere else entirely, I'm keen to learn more about how you work with other people and how that's changed over the last few years.
Some quick ones to kick off the discussion:
- Who do you collaborate with most throughout a project?
- Has the way you collaborate changed recently?
- What tools or systems are essential to your workflow?
- Where do you experience the most friction or wasted time?
- Are clients and stakeholders getting involved at different stages than they used to?
- Is there anything you wish creative tools did better to support collaboration?
I really appreciate anyone willing to share their workflow or thoughts.
