CJP protest success: The way forward

First of all, a big congratulations to the GenZ and organisers of CJP for ensuring that democracy is still alive in India.

After the success of CJP protest, it is now time to reflect on what should be the way forward for youths. I would like to put some points for the readers to ponder.

1. The political discourse in the country needs to change and we have to put pressure on the political parties to prioritise our important issues such as improvement of education, healthcare, environment etc. Don’t let the political parties deviate from your issues to other trivial things of religious and communal hatred. Remember to shame these political parties who try to deviate the narrative from important issues.
2. The CJP has emerged as a great pressure group in Indian politics. I don’t know if they are going to enter politics in future. But as of now, as a pressure group, CJP should sustain the momentum and keep on educating the youths about the important issues, the progress being made by the Govt. to address the issues.
3. The biggest strength of the CJP protests was the creativity and fearlessness of expression. Remember guys, the ruling Govt. has absolutely feared your creativity and it is a major strength. Keep on building your creativity to track the actions of this Govt. and keep on expressing your disappointment through the same creative expressions that will send chilling waves across the ruling class.
4. Don’t be bogged down by the discipline lessons some of your oldies in home and relative circle will give. Raise your questions in the same way to them (without disrespecting them) as you have done during the protests. Remember, questioning is the biggest weapon in a democracy. The one who is afraid of being questioned is against the democratic principles.
5. Please never resort any violent means while expressing yourself. There are many vultures out there who will be watching you and grab the first opportunity to defame you seeing you getting aggressive.
6. You have taught a great lesson to the Godi media in this protests. In future also, please do not let them scare you or poison your mind with their false and divisive agenda. Oppose them by all your creativity and always tell them to raise your issues rather than the divisive agenda that suits the ruling class.
