Birdseye Maple dye technique

I'm sanding some Birdseye maple for a project.

I've seen a video somewhere about curly maple being "stained" with transtint. I like the two toned color.

I'm curious if I can do the same with Birdseye maple.

OR if anyone has a way to accentuate the eyes in any way.
