Echovault is still an ongoing problem. Here is how you can stop your alts from being linked together.

This workaround has been discussed, but I've only seen it in comments where it doesn't get much attention.

To prevent characters from being linked together, simply avoid switching characters in the same game session. This means instead of logging out of character A with the game still up, then logging back in on character B, you should close out of the game entirely, reopen the game and THEN log in on character B.

This works because the id that echovault uses to track you is randomized every time you open the game. This method is certainly inconvenient, but it stops these freaks from stealing your data. Hope it helps!
